Wet Scrubbers were used in the past to control emissions from chromium electroplating processes. In 1995, The US EPA promulgated a Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT) Standard which created a need for ultra efficient control devices for hard chrome electroplating operations. KCH Services Inc, was called on by industry to design the Spectra U Mist Eliminator, which actually operates dry and uses composite mesh pad technology versus traditional wet scrubbing.

The Spectra U Mist Eliminator is now the industry standard in acheiving compliance with the Chrome MACT Standard.
