Gas Scrubbers

Gas Scrubbers

Gas Scrubbers are also sometimes referred to as Wet Scrubbers or Air Scrubbers.

Gas Scrubbers are used for gas absorption, cooling, and recovery. These machines have high scrubbing efficiency and low power consumption, they are used in many industries for a broad range of applications. Scrubbers of this type perform best when handled gases are free of particles, since they tend to clog the packed bed. Upon leaving the packed bed, the clean gas passes through a mist eliminator where entrained liquid is removed before the clean air is discharged through an outlet.

Acid Gas Scrubbers

Acid gas scrubbers prevent acidic and toxic gases (Hydrogen Chloride, Sulfur Dioxide, Hydrogen Fluoride, etc.) that are emitted from boilers, catalytic oxidizers, storage tank vents, and other sources from being released into the atmosphere. A dry chemical reactant is injected into a dirty exhaust stream to wash the acid gases out.

Acid gas scrubbers are also known by the following names:

  • Hydrochloric Acid (HCL) Scrubber
  • Nitric Acid (NOx) Scrubber
  • Sulfuric Acid Scrubber
  • Hydrofluoric Acid(HF) Scrubber
  • Hydrobromic Acid Scrubber
  • Acid Exhaust System
