Fiberglass Tanks can be made with specialty resins, depending upon the application. They have excellent mechanical properties and can withstand temperatures of up to 250 degrees F. Advancements in plastics have caused Polypropylene to be the material of choice over fiberglass in most situations. Polypropylene is a homogeneous material, whereas fiberglass is not.
