Methods of Fabrication & Extrusion WeldingExtrusion Welding Polypro Tank

KCH technicians utilize the latest technology in programmable extrusion welding and thermal bending machines to fabricate polypropylene tanks. Extrusion Welding eliminates the need for multiple rod passes by applying a thick, uniform weld. The rod material is pulled from a spool and purged through an electronically heated screw chamber in the welding gun. The material becomes a fully molten strand which is applied to the weld area. The weld area is preheated with a heater mounted on the welding machine. This allows for a strong molecular bond to take place between the polypropylene rod and material.
